More News : With three major plane crashes in a week, it seems air disasters are happening very frequently at present . More than 3 billion people took to the skies last year, with only 210 fatalities. That this year has seen that number more than double is an anomaly, say experts, one that goes against the grain of many decades of steady declines in air crashes. 462 people have been killed in three different air crashes on three different continents. The three airliner crashes in the last week have claimed nearly 450 lives. Seven days ago Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 on board .On Wednesday a TransAsia Airways flight in Taiwan crashed in bad weather, killing 48 passengers . An Algerian aircraft carrying 110 passengers and six crew crashed in northern Africa early on Thursday

Animation Malaysian Airplane Missile Strike VIDEO : 298 Passengers Killed

  The Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane in route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam crashed according to news. It is believed to have had 280 passengers and 15 crew on board. Malaysia Airlines has lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam. The last known position was over Ukrainian airspace. More details to follow. it is also known that Anti-Russian activists in the Ukraine claimed it was shot down over territory controlled by pro-Russian separatists.
